Apparently Greg didn't get the "tell everyone business is spectacular" memo.
He made it into the Post today. Maybe that is why today has been a great day. I had some of the nicest customers today and sold a little bit of everything. I ate too many of my own cookies though, just what I need.

Jason Amstutz Light's Up Light Up Night

Last night was such a great way to strat the holiday season. I don't have pics of the party, but I wanted to show some of the glass pieces that are part of Jason's show. It is nearly impossible to capture how amazing his work is in these photos. Some of the photo's areof the lights that Jason made with John Walter. John does the amazing iron work and Jason does the blown glass. There are also plenty of pieces that would make perfect gifts. Stop in an check it out!

Find Lebo get free money

Tonight is Light Up Night and the opening of Jason Amstutz's show. The gallery looks awesome with all this sparkley glass, I just love it. I even took out the Diana Krall Christmas CD, 2 bottles of wine (to start), a carafe of hot apple cider, and a bunch of cookies. Come on up tonight and bring the kids! Santa arrives at around 8:00 in Clearview Commons. Find Lebo the Elf and say "hi" and he will give you Lebo Loot which can be spent in stores on Washington Rd (Planet Art Gallery of course!).
Hope to see everyone soon!

The Steelers Play Thursday Night, ug
I scheduled Jason Amstutz's show for the same night as Light Up Night because a lot of people show up for light up night, but then, today, I realized that Steelers play tomorrow night! How could I not know this until today! I am the Steelers #1 fan, I can't believe it. The good news is that the opening reception runs 6 - 9 and kick-off is at 8:15 so maybe a bunch of people will come before the game! I can hope right?

Here at the gallery we have an opening reception for Jason Amstutz "Molten Movement". So stop in, warm up, and check out all of Jason's amazing blown glass pieces. They really are something to see.

First Fridays / Sidewalk Saturdays
This is from an email I received from Ona Boutique this morning. I think she phrased it well, so I will copy and paste it here:
This is a note asking you to help the Mt. Lebanon Business District. As many of you may know the budget is about to be passed here in Mt. Lebanon. In that budget, the funding of community events such as the Halloween Parade, First Fridays and Saturday Farmers Markets have been cut. Without funding from the municipality, these events will be cancelled going forward.
I normally would not ask my customers for this type of support, but many of you enjoy and attend these events whether you live in Mt.Lebanon or not, and I think it is important for you to know what will occur if this budget passes.
So if you enjoy these events, if you think they are an important part of the community and if you want to see the community and business district keep these events going forward please write to the Mt.Lebanon commissioners and urge them to leave the funding in the 2009 budget.
It will be passed very soon, so please don't hesitate and write them today! Thank you--all of us on Washington Road appreciate your help.
Emails of the commissioners:
